ABDUR RAHMAN BABA
CEO-USA
Abdur Rahman obtained his second Masters in Multimedia Arts (Gold Medal) from National College of Arts Lahore, Pakistan and a Bachelor and Masters in Fine Arts (Gold Medal), from University of Peshawar, Pakistan. His professional background includes academic positions in educational institutions at NCA, PAF-IAST, PIFD, COD, IFA, where he taught Animation Design, Graphic Design, Jewelry Design, Drawing, Painting and supervised thesis students.
He has over twenty five years of experience in Art, Design, Animation and Teaching. His research areas include Animation (Traditional Folk Tales) Painting (Culture) and Design (Brand Identity). Within these research areas he has directed and animated sixteen short films, documentaries and designed more than fifty brands identities and dozens of full promotional graphic campaigns. Abdur Rahman has won thirty one awards in graphics, painting, calligraphy, sculpture and animation competitions and exhibited his art works in various groups and solo shows.
MUHAMMAD AHSAN ZEB
Communication Designer, Pakistan
Muhammad Ahsan Zeb is a communication designer. His profile demonstrates remarkable academic, professional, and artistic achievements. He completed his M.Phill in Fine Arts Graphic Design from Punjab University College of Art and Design Lahore with Distinction for his outstanding academic proficiency. He is doing PhD in Design from Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, Shanghai University China. He has won several awards including a Gulgee award. He is a contemporary artist and designer with over 12 years of professional experience. He has curated several Art Exhibitions at national and provincial level.
He has been actively involved in a variety of initiatives of various capacities. The majority of the initiatives are in the educational, commercial, and business sectors. He worked in projects with a number of organizations, including UNESCO, PASDEC, UNIDO, THAAP and GIZ. He served as Visual art and craft specialist at Directorate of Culture, KP. And later joined Institute of Art and Culture, Lahore as a Lecturer. Currently, he is serving as Lecturer at Pak-Austria Fachhochschule: Institute of Applied sciences and Technology, Haripur Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.
MARRYAM KHAN
Multimedia Artist, Pakistan
Ms. Marryam Khan is an accomplished visual artist, designer, and educator currently serving as Associate Professor of Practice at the Department of Theatre, Film and Television at the School of Media and Mass Communication (SMC), Beaconhouse National University. With more than 18 years of academic and professional experience across higher education, media, and the creative industries, she brings a diverse blend of creative practice and pedagogical expertise to her role. Ms. Khan holds two Master’s degrees: an MA in Multimedia Arts from the National College of Arts (2008) and an MA in Animation from the University of the Arts London (2024).
Her career spans teaching, leadership, and creative roles across Pakistan, UAE, and the UK, and she has been associated with leading institutions including the National College of Arts, Lahore University of Management Sciences, Pak Austria University, the Institute for Art and Culture, and the University of the Arts London. She has also collaborated with major media networks such as BBC, A+ Channel, and Agg TV, as well as advertising agencies, design studios, and international organizations. Her work for UNESCO and UKAID includes the production of communication and design materials addressing themes of culture, heritage, and social development.
Her presence at BNU enriches the academic and creative landscape through her interdisciplinary approach, innovative vision, and dedication to fostering emerging talent in media and the arts.
SEHRISH HUSSAIN
Print Media-USA
Sehrish Hussain received a BBA from Ross School of Business and a BFA from Stamps School of Art and Design from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor in 2018. She currently studies Print Media at Cranbrook Academy of Art.
Hussain’s practice draws from her personal upbringing in a Pakistani family that exposed her to cultural and religious motifs from Islamic design and architecture to Indo-Persian textiles that are repeated in her work. Hussain primarily creates woodcuts drawing upon the historic tradition and craft of printmaking. Blending this traditional craft with new technologies reflects the contemporary context of print media, through which she can speak to cultural tensions and nuances arising from living with hybrid identities, memory, and change. She currently lives and works in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
